Southern House for 15mm War Games

This was designed more for an American landscape. It looked STUNNING on the battlefield, but to be fair, I have – finally – a decent library of accessories. I’m also trying a little bit more on flocking and weathering in general.

What’s really cool about this piece though is that it was inspired by this awesome project by Kelly Micheau Gomez. Heading https://theforgottensouth.com/, a project that has Kelly scouring the rural roads of the south, taking photographs of buildings which are often in various states of decay. I used this one in particular as a heavy influence. The site is a wonderful resource not only with picture references, but decent research on the architecture, reasons for their construction, and more importantly, the families who lived in them. I strongly recommend giving the site a visit.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to continue my Etsy shop, so this one is currently not listed. Hey, let me know if you’d want to see it available.
