Watching war games, gamers would skew the tops of buildings they occupied so they wouldn’t forget there were forces inside. I felt like it took away a bit of the immersion, especially with trying to populate the game table with nice looking terrain. I suggested these toppers as a solution. There were definitely iterations, trying to find something that could sit on a variety of different roofs was the first obstacle to overcome.
There was also a fair amount of testing out my Cricut so I didn’t have to cut the stickers out by hand, but I know that’s also something that most people aren’t going to have access to. It was also fun to do flag waving simulations in Blender and get better at some of the physics simulation stuff.

I printed in a clear resin to go for a lower profile, but I don’t think it really matters. I should try to print these in FDM just to see how viable that might be. Anyway, it seems like it did the trick though and seeing flags on the field instead of skewed buildings is better immersion, in my opinion.
