Rolling a d100 chooses a question all of your players can answer for their characters to learn them better at the beginning of each session.
Answer these questions from the viewpoint of your character.
Simple answers are fine – even no is valid.
Did we already have this question? Did the answer evolve over time? If no, we can reroll.

Our group first heard of this from an Instagram post and we were intrigued. They linked to a list of questions and while many were alright, we found a lot of the questions pretty lackluster. We found several lists and combined many, cutting out less intriguing questions, adding our own, and compiled this list.
There are still some basic questions within this list, but each question can be as deep or as shallow as one wants:
2. What is your favorite weapon? Simple: A double headed axe because of the way momentum from swinging makes both sides deadly. Complex: Finding out what people like so I can cut it down over time.
I highly recommend that your players don’t read them ahead of time. At the time of this writing our campaign has been going on for 3 years and my players are still finding out about their characters with these questions. The answers they give have also become more in-depth over time. 28. Your character looks at themselves in a mirror. What is their emotion? This question struck my players especially hard more than two years into our game.
We also implemented a special rule that someone volunteers to roll and they answer the question first. My players are pretty good about wanting to do this, but as a DM if you’re finding your players gun shy about rolling and answering, you can give an incentive to the person who rolls. From there, the person who rolls and answers picks the next one to answer the question and from there they pick the next, and so on until everyone has answered.
As a DM, I personally prefer my players to write down their answers so I can reference them and use it to build on story to impact them as time goes on.
We had a recent session and I had fun with the answers given and figured this should be shared with the internet and so here you go. I also added the questions and rules first in this post so you didn’t have to scroll through my rambling to get to them. If you’ve read this far, you’re a real one. I’m also open to new questions or different takes on current questions. I’d also love to hear some of your best and or most unhinged player answers!
